We had our first new monthly chapter meeting Friday August 5th 11:45 am -1:15 pm . The meeting was small as several members were on summer holidays this month. Thank you to those of you who let me know about your scheduled vacations and plans to attend future meetings.

GoodTherapy.org Collaborates with HAMFT
On August 23, 2011, GoodTherapy.org published an online article titled “AAMFT Loses Tug of War with Hawaii Division” to share the story about HAMFT’s struggles with AAMFT. The decision to publish and share this story with GoodTherapy.org’s audience was based on support for acknowledging an important message contained within the story – a message about how unethical misuse and abuse of power, in this case by one organization and group of persons over another, often leads to harm and distrust in the mental health field.
